Perhaps you, too, have waited for a long time at the edge of life’s dance floor—waiting for the right song, the perfect moment, or someone to take your hand and lead you into the first step. Perhaps you’ve also begun to sense that the decision that has been quietly growing within you can only arise from within yourself.

In the Soul Motion Training, we walk a shared path of experience, encouragement, and perhaps the entrance into a new chapter of life. We become the creators and teachers of our own lives.

Leading in life

Taking the lead in your own life means caring deeply for yourself and looking with compassion at the deeply human, wild mess within us. We were born without a map, which means every day is an act of improvisation and every life a unique journey of discovery. The more we acknowledge this, the more we take responsibility for ourselves, and the more fulfilled and powerful our dance through life becomes.

Leading in the dance space

Taking the lead in the dance space means sharing what has been internalized in your own body and has created a unique resonance within your cells. Passion for dance and stillness, the willingness to listen deeply to the source of creativity, the courage to grow beyond the limits of the familiar: these are the ingredients from which a Soul Motion teacher creates the experiential space we call Soul Motion.

Soul Motion Mastery is a teacher training for all who have the clear intention of teaching Soul Motion themselves, but also for those who are not yet sure, but are curious about the inner growth that this training path is offering.

The Structure of the Training

The first module

Soul Motion is a specific method, yet it is primarily not about imparting knowledge or content, but about inspiring participants through one's own life and dance experience. Therefore, the first step on the path to becoming a teacher is rediscovering the creative abundance that lives in each of us.

We begin with this in the first module of “Soul Motion Mastery.” We deepen our experiences with Soul Motion, its three platforms, and four landscapes. We explore how music and mindful dance touch and liberate something within us. We give plenty of space to this experience and carry it into our daily lives after the first in-person module.

Between the first and second modules, all participants embark on a personal journey of discovery, exploring how the core elements of Soul Motion resonate in the dance of everyday life. Over the course of the weeks, this journey becomes a kind of personal project, which all participants will eventually share with one another. As a group, we meet regularly online to support, listen to, and inspire each other.

The second module

In the second in-person module, we gather our experiences and once again deepen our relationship with dance, mindfulness, stillness, and creativity. We then begin to shift our focus toward holding space and teaching within the dance space. We start with mini-steps: small guidance sequences, using just a few words or playing carefully selected music. We learn class structures, explore various teaching techniques, and practice “reading” the space.

The foundational attitude of a Soul Motion Teacher is less about instructing in the traditional sense and more about accompanying and supporting what is already present and seeking expression. The Soul Motion Teacher shapes and holds this experiential “dance space” through structures like settings, exercises, or rituals—but above all, through their own presence, made visible in their body, audible in their words, and expressed through their choice of music. We practice all of this together.

After the second module, participants return to their own life settings and begin bringing their experiences and inspirations into the world in the form of their first self-guided sessions. This may begin in a more private setting with friends and acquaintances, or directly as a public offering. Sometimes it’s also possible to integrate Soul Motion into an already existing professional context.

During this time, trainees are not alone—they are supported through regular online meetings, both in the full group and in smaller circles. The training facilitators are also available for personal mentorship sessions.

The third module

In the third module, we build on our experiences and continue gaining teaching experience in different settings. We play with the use of poetry, learn new exercises and rituals, and invent our own. We deepen our relationship with music and stillness. We experiment and take risks, for only through courage can we mature as humans and leaders.

The training concludes after the third module with a graduation ceremony and the conferral of the title: “Authorized Soul Motion Teacher (SMI).”

To support and inspire the next steps, each graduate receives a manual with teaching materials, texts, and suggestions.

But even after the training ends, the path is not over. The reality of life is that we are never “finished,” and with each encounter and every Soul Motion class we teach, we gain new insights and experiences that wouldn’t have been possible before—because we hadn’t yet developed the inner foundation for them. As a Soul Motion community, we continue to meet regularly online. We encourage collaboration among teachers, and from time to time, there are opportunities to assist in workshops led by the facilitators.
